New Lists of BYH Graduates Discovered
Including Previously Lost Classes
From the Late 1920s & Early 1930s

The Evening Herald, Provo, Utah

Steven M. Law, a librarian at the Provo City Library at Academy Square, recently uncovered the only known lists of graduates still extant of several Brigham Young High School classes.

A busy reference librarian, Steven Law found rare moments to search microfilms of early Provo newspapers. The results are remarkable. As of January 2008, he has found lists for four previously undocumented BYH classes: 1928, 1930, 1931 and 1932. This adds 146 names of confirmed BYH graduates to the Directory.

These classes came along when BYH classes were no longer included in the BYU Banyan, and before BYH yearbooks became an unbroken annual tradition, from 1933 to 1968.
